Mr. Cox is a member of the firm’s Insurance & Reinsurance Practice Group. He regularly represents insurance and reinsurance companies in arbitrations and lawsuits involving a wide variety of insurance and reinsurance coverage, claims, contract interpretation, and other issues including: asbestos, environmental, mold, medical malpractice, actuarial, life and health, setoff, sexual abuse, marine, insolvency, cut through, title insurance, construction defect, long-term exposure, private mortgage insurance, workers’ compensation, rescission, fraud, misrepresentation, commutation, sunset, late notice, follow the fortunes/settlements, underwriting, aggregation, claims management, allocation, fronting, and broker misconduct.
Mr. Cox also counsels insurance and reinsurance companies on coverage, claims, contract interpretation, transactional, and other issues.
Mr. Cox has over 30 years of experience litigating commercial and other disputes in arbitrations and in state and federal courts around the country and has tried to conclusion well over 30 cases. He has handled matters involving construction, real estate, bankruptcy, condemnation, land use, zoning and planning, personal injury, employment, business, will contest, and ERISA issues.
