Mr. Henderson has practiced at Thorp Reed and Armstrong, LLP since 1972, and has been a litigation partner since 1981. He has been active in products liability and personal injury defense, general commercial litigation, defamation and First Amendment issues for news media clients. He also serves as the managing partner for legal needs of North America’s largest steel tubing and bimetallic wire manufacturer.
Mr. Henderson has participated in the group defense of more than thirty oil and steel companies in a toxic tort action involving the chemical benzene. His wide variety of experience in products liability defense involves fixed and suspended scaffolding, rolling towers, fire trucks, water tanks, manufacturing presses, lathes, automobile and truck braking systems, slitters, cranes, aerial lifting devices, medical devices, stadium bleachers, highway rollers, fire extinguishers, boats, roofing systems, industrial fans and boilers, pre-engineered buildings and asbestos.
On the appellate court level, Mr. Henderson has litigated several cases in the Pennsylvania and federal courts which have defined and expanded the right of access of the public and media to public records and proceedings.
